Pitchfork media just came out with a list of its top 40 videos for 2008. Efterklang’s Cutting Ice To Snow made that list along with videos for Bjork, Beyonce and Arcade Fire. We ranked very high on that list!

Invisible Men

Shot in June 2008, ‘Invisible Men’ directed by Angela Tucker (Arts Engine Inc./BigMouth Films) are two shorts about Gregory and Andrew, two formerly homeless men from New York sharing their life stories. I shot it on Super8mm film in East New York and Brooklyn in an experimental narrative format. The projects are a part of Black Public Media’s Masculinity Project, funded by the Ford Foundation.

“Wait For Me” is a short teaser documentary from Academy Award Winner Ross Kauffman (Born Into Brothels, 2004). The short premiered at the New York Film Festival’s centerpiece as an introduction to Clint Eastwood’s “Changeling.” I was honored to provide footage from India.

I got a last minute call in November 2007 to work as a cinematographer on a music video. The video was shot on Super16. When I walked onto the set, I realized that I was working with one of the finest cinematographers in the music video industry. It was nerve racking to say the least!
